DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Job Purpose
To design and develop products and equipment to improve the company's
product base and the performance of existing products and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Design procedures to test existing products
and equipment to identify areas for improvement.
2. Recommend changes to existing products and equipment to improve
specifications and performance.
3. Design and develop new products and equipment to improve the company's
product base.
4. Train company staff in the operation and maintenance of products and
equipment.
5. Provide expert advice and assistance on technical problems relating to
the modification of products and equipment.
6. Constantly monitor product testing programmes to ensure that they are
delivered on time and within specification.
7. Maintain any necessary records.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
The job requires:
*a degree-level qualification in a relevant technical discipline;
*at least 2 years' experience in the design and development of related
technical products;
*knowledge of the industry sector;
*analytical skills;
*good communication skills.
