into this ride.
Sound engineering is a
modern age career for all those people who love and want to be a part of
this industry. A career which gives a lot of fame and recognition with job
satisfaction. Anything that you hear in a film or a television serial or an
advertisement is only possible because of the two people - the music
composer and the sound engineer. Thus, sound engineering is all about
capturing sound, recording, editing, sound designing, music production and
mixing. It involves the use of electronic and mechanical instruments. The
expertise of a sound engineer is required for a diverse range of projects
including the recording and reproduction of music and sound, sound effects
and dialoguing.
All of these skills are
required in the fields of film, television, radio, theater, corporate
functions, promotions and of course in music. As consumer demands for better
quality audio products increase and the number of recordings being made
outside the professional recording studio grows, the opportunity for
students to find employment in this field is expansive. Therefore, Sound
Engineering has emerged as the one of the sought after fields in media and
entertainment industry. To get into sound engineering it is important to go
through a formal education as it not only helps you to understand the
technology but also boosts your creativity.
What does a student
learn in Sound Engineering? A typical course combines the creative
aspects of sound with the technology. Essentially, technology plays an
important part in this science. students get to work on software’s like
PROTOOLS, REASON and VEGAS. Students learn the art of music production by
using these software’s hence reducing the time in recording and editing.
India holds the record for making the most movies in a year and now as the
rising cost of post post production a lot of international and Hollywood
movies have started outsourcing their work to India to get the work done the
only drawback that they face is the the quality of work done is not up to
their standards.
To uplift the music and the
sound industry in India SeamEdu’s School of Sound Engineering has designed a

Nigavekar Former Vice Chancellor, Pune University and Former Chairman,
