By Anjan Chakraborty The modules those have to be studied are :Introduction to Financial Planning, Risk Management & Insurance Planning, Retirement Planning & Employee Benefits, Investment Planning, Tax & Estate Planning and Advanced Financial Planning. There will be no examination for the first module but there will be 20% weight of this module to other modules and one must have to study this module very thoroughly. The CFPCM is an internationally recognized (valid in 20 countries) prestigious designation and it is expected that they are specialists in financial planning and can advise their clients in the above mentioned fields for a better return and minimizing the risks. The recruiters of CFPCM are banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, corporates, educational institutions, etc. There is huge demand of a professional planner and the number of CFPCM designated professionals are not even 450 currently whereas the demand is in excess of 20,000. As such after passing, no CFPCM will be jobless rather they can expect a very high profile job offer from all those above mentioned companies from where they can expect a minimum starting salary of Rs 20,000 pm. To join this course one must have completed the graduation and should have 3 years experience in the financial services sector in any capacity. From field other than finance, one must have 5 years experience. Interestingly, even 10+2 passed candidate can do this course but they must have higher experience in allied field of finance. If a candidate is not having the requisite experience, they still can do this course and after passing they will remain as AFP (Associate Financial Planner) till they acquire the required work experience.
