Shirke becomes first 'Adarsh Bal Kalakar'

Prajwal Shirke, a talented kid from Gwalior was crowned the winner of show 'BIG Bal Kalakar.' With the win, Shirke puts his first firm step forward into the world of music.

After five months of tireless dedication & riyas the journey of budding & talented young singers from the Hindi Heartland of UP, MP, Bihar & Jharkhand culminated on May 18th, amidst soul stirring devotional songs and applauds and accolades. The Young Prajwal Shirke from Gwalior, one of the youngest contestants was crowned the undisputed winner of the mega show 'BIG Bal Kalakaar' on BIG MAGIC. He wins a contract with JMV Telecine to release his own music album and a scholarship of Rs 1 lakh.

Prajwal's rendering of 'Is shaan-e-karam ka kya kehna...' was simply outstanding and filled the arena with cheering. Prajwal, from Gwalior is a 11 year old, currently in studying standard sixth, of Bhartiya Vidya Niketan. For a child who started singing at the age of four, he has won several awards, including state level championship of Sugam Sangeet held in M.P.Young Prajwal aspires to be the renowned classical singer & is an ardent admirer of Indian Vocalist Pandit Bhimsen Joshi & Indian Classical musician Ustad Rashid Khan.
