The Company is a joint venture between the
Tata Group and TIDCO (Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation) engaged in
the manufacturing and marketing of watches, jewellery, sunglasses and precision
engineering components with brands such as Titan, Tanishq, Sonata and Fastrack.
Its diversification plans include a foray into retailing of prescription eyewear
for its new business, the Company requires the following professionals:
OPTOMETRIST
Person profile: A practicing optometrist with 10 to 15 years experience with a
leading optical store/hospital. Needs to be a graduate in optometry from a
renowned institute. The candidate must have good interpersonal and communication
skills, well versed with vision disorders and aware of the latest equipment and
techniques for vision correction.
Job profile: Will assist the Project Head in deciding on technology, testing
methods, standards and facilitation of the right solution for eye defects.
Evolving testing standards in line with international standards and using the
latest technical, equipment for measurement. Set up a model and establish a
standard for the proposed chain of retail outlets. Should be capable of
developing documentation, processes, training, and managing a team of
optometrists.
TECHNOLOGIST
Person profile: Graduate in mechanical engineering with not less than 15 to 20
years experience in the optical industry engaged in manufacture of lenses/
should have handled a chain of laboratories.
Job profile: Will help the new business in understanding and usage of
appropriate technology for lenses, frames and all other related
equipments/machinery. Will be responsible in evaluating technical partners,
equipment for the retail chain, inspection processes and complete management of
the laboratory. Updating and servicing of all the machinery. Framing the right
specifications and quality standards for all parts of the product and the
equipment used.
MANAGER - RETAIL OPERATIONS
Person profile: MBA with 8 -10 years of experience in managing a chain of
optical stores in a metro location with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, good understanding of the retail and service process /
environment, CM practices, computer proficiency and ability to train and develop
an effective customer relations team. Excellent understanding of national and
international products, range width, stocking norms and consumer understanding
is essential.
Job profile: Will assist the Project Head in setting up and running a chain of
retail stores. Identifying store locations, finalizing franchisees, managing the
customer relations team, retail sales force and all processes within the retail
store.
MANAGER - SOURCING
Person profile: Engineer/graduate with post graduation in materials management,
with 8-10 years experience in procurement/sourcing function with a large retail
optical chain. Good knowledge of computer based supply chain concepts is
critical. Knowledge of the eyewear business, designs, national and international
vendors, quality and practices in the industry is critical for the role.
Job profile: Will assist the Project Head in developing, establishing and
managing the supply sources for lenses, frames, and all related equipment for
prescription eye- wear business.
MANAGER - SUPPLY CHAIN
Person profile: Engineer/MBA- with specialization in production/operations with
8-10 years experience in heading the supply-chain function with a large optical
retail chain. Good IT and commercial knowledge is essential. Excellent domain
knowledge of SAP/ERP or the most relevant packages used in the eyewear industry
for demand planning, indenting, production planning, scheduling, logistics
management, inventory management is critical for this position.
Job profile: Will assist the Project Head and the sourcing team in developing
and managing supply chain processes for the eyewear business.
MERCHANDISING AND MARKETING MANAGER
Person profile: Engineer, MBA from the top business schools, Should have at
least 8 years of experience with at least 5 years in product and brand
management with a national reputed brand of the size of at least Rs.50 cr., A
team player with conceptual, analytical skills, an ability to lead a team of
marketing professionals & multitasking is critical. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of retail operations and customer
relationship management would be an added advantage.
Job profile: Will be responsible for the entire marketing and merchandising
activities of the business which includes consumer research, segmentation,
market selection, product management, brand management, pricing, communication &
CRM, setting up of marketing structure, processes, the decision on licensed
brands, visual merchandising, brand & retail store identity and designs.
