Job Description:

Head the Legal and Compliance Function for GE CF India. Work with the Leadership Team to drive a culture of Compliance in all transactions of the Business.  Head the Legal team to advise on transactions (deals) that are put through the system. Work very closely with the Sales, Risk, Finance teams and External Customers to find solutions that meet all GE
Guidelines and at the same time satisfy Customer needs within Specified Timelines
Drive process Excellence in the Legal Aspects of the Deal Flow, within the Business.
Develop, Coach and Build a strong Legal team within GECF India. Demonstrated legal problem solving and analytical skills and ability to understand, articulate and persuade on significant legal and business issues.  Strategic vision.  Very strong process/Six Sigma skills to enable real change to be made in the Legal process.  Highest degree of integrity and ability to champion compliance as a core business value across the region.  Solid understanding of policy issues impacting the region over the next five years.

Desired Profile:
Graduate of one of the Top Legal Schools in India or Abroad.  10-12 years min. experience, preferably with minimum 5 years at a top-notch law firm. India specific Experience a must for this role.  Experience in Financial Services industry, advising clients on Financial
transactions.

Key Skills:
Candidate should be comfortable working with senior managers and have the ability to understand commercial and financial drivers.

Candidate must be highly organized, computer literate, a  self-starter, and good at managing and prioritizing numerous projects to meet demanding deadlines.  Team player, strong interpersonal skills.  Strong Leadership and Communication Skills  Must be a Creative/Imaginative thinker while being flexible to find solutions for the Business within the Legal Framework.
