US based Company in Bangalore,Major Global supplier of various systems to the Aviation Industry-aircraft landing gear, wheels, brakes, aero structures, de-icing systems, evacuation systems, cabin crew seating systems, fuel delivery systems, Etc.

Description Engineering or Supply Chain Management , 4-6 years of related experience
in Core areas are Sourcing, materials and vendor development. ,Preferably with good global exposure ,excellent skills in Materials Mgmt, vendor development, export and import management,manages Purchasing, Materials, Stockroom and Logistics functions ,support the manufacturing process in the most cost effective manner. Knowledge of purchasing and accounting processes, Participate in developing detail work transfer plans, Provide supplier capabilities and capacities to support the categorizing and assembling of work transfer packages, Providing on-site support of selected suppliers to assist in their response to pricing inquiries, technical questions, and assuring they understand and support all requirements for parts production (technical, processing, schedule, quality), Managing day-to-day activity of selected suppliers – negotiations, problem-solving, technical support,
relationships with supplier executives, etc, Monitoring the suppliers’ schedule/capacity performance and reporting it, Identifying and selecting new suppliers to extend the range of transferred parts, Developing appropriate relationships with local officials, Reviews plans
for new product and evaluates factors such as strength, weight and cost, proposing material selection recommendations to ensure attainment of design objectives, Manages inventory transactions and controls, Places purchase orders, work’s MRP, expedites, and works long term agreements, Manages consigned inventory program and/or other inventory levels, Roll
out continuous improvement and lean manufacturing concepts to suppliers and internal materials functions, Develops inter-departmental and individual goals, Participates in lean manufacturing activities, Plan and schedule work flow and organize shipping schedules, Evaluates performance and conducts performance reviews, Good computer skills in MSOffice, mainframe applications,relating to procurement, and ability to learn new software/programs, Good analytical and negotiation skills, Ability to multi-task with good organization and prioritization skills,Team oriented,Strong interpersonal skills with multi-cultural experience background, Strong understanding of aerospace technical processes, quality systems, engineering practices, manufacturing, and supply chain.
