As part of its global strategy, SAGE London is looking for people for the following positions, who will be based in our New Delhi office. The candidates will be an extended part of the production team based within SAGE's UK Production department.

PRODUCTION EDITOR - SOCIAL SCIENCE

Job Description :
The production editor will oversee the production cycle of journals. The key responsibilities are: to quality check the work of freelancers/vendors for both editorial content and style; to maintain positive work relationships with societies, editors, and contributing authors; to ensure that SAGE's high editorial standards are maintained - all within the stipulated timeframe. The candidate must have at least 3 year's experience of academic production/editorial work, and a good understanding of typesetting, printing/design and online publication. He/she must be well versed in MS office.

COPY EDITOR, JOURNALS - STM /SOCIAL SCIENCE

Job Description :
Key responsibilities of this position are: to copyedit articles as per journal styles - with a meticulous eye for detail on consistency, appropriate and correct usage of words, typos, spelling and grammar, edit cites and references with conformance to styles; quality checking work of freelancers to ensure that SAGE's editorial standards are maintained; providing feedback -ensuring that deadlines are met. The candidate should have exceptionally good English language skills, must be well versed in online editing and have a minimum of 4 year's experience of academic production/editorial work. Supervising and training copy editors previously will be an added advantage.
