Construction Supervisor

You would need an in-depth knowledge of building practices and procedures. The ideal foreman is self-motivated, a practical problem-solver who enjoys the building business and is able to motivate others to do their best. The safety of the workers would also be your responsibility.
As computers are being used extensively, you would need to be computer literate. Managers report that the process of building almost any sort of structure is similar in some ways to creating a static form of life or art. The specific plot of ground and detailed plans of the project have to be examined thoroughly before excavations can be done and foundations built.

Every structure begins as a designer's vision and is based on the needs of the future inhabitants or the purpose for which it is intended. From the time that the first brick is laid, an eye has to be kept on the growth of the structure and every detail of this growth is noted and examined for possible faults in the design.

Problems often occur and they have to be instantly corrected in order to avoid an unwanted mutation of the original idea. The finished product should evoke satisfaction and pride in both the designers and the builders.
