Computer Systems Analyst

Systems analysis and design is a very rewarding field. It gives you a chance to interact with many other areas of the IT industry: Clients, programmers, technicians etc. and still leave your mark.
The analyst is an information specialist who’s knowledgable about the technical aspects of analysing, designing and implementing computer based processing.

The analyst is responsible for identifying the clients needs and putting it down on paper for the programmers and technicians who build on. They are also responsible for analysing, information requirements, designing new information systems, and supervising the new systems implementation. Analysts are information workers. They use computers to plan and implement changes to information systems.

They also create specifications for application software for the new systems, then give those specifications to computer programmers, who create computer programs to meet those specifications.
