Agricultural Engineering

You should have a keen interest in agriculture plus all the qualities that make a good engineer. To become an agricultural engineer means that you have accepted the challenge to improve agricultural production by means of better engineering methods, inventions, technology and equipment which also means that you need a good intellect and a desire to make a difference to the future of farming.
Long gone are the days when a farmer sowed the seeds of his next crop by ambling down the furrows throwing seeds into the air while praying for a friendly breeze to blow them onto fertile soil. Nowadays mechanised machines do most of the hard work but farmers cannot convince Mother Nature to co-operate and she often ignores their needs. This is where innovative watering devices are invaluable and if one could just control the wind, sun and insects, life for a man or woman who makes his living from the land would be blissful.
