The trend of changing careers at the drop of a hat is becoming common practice by many working professionals. When questioned, these individuals cite multiple reasons to justify their latest career switch.

However, in reality, people confuse situations and lack practical judgment, thus, making another insignificant and unnecessary career change that may in fact hurt their professional careers rather than helping it.

Oftentimes, career oriented individuals long for power, prestige and fame in their professional lives and when they feel they are not achieving this, the next step they take is to switch careers in the hope of achieving everything their present occupation is not providing them. However, such biased thinking does not help.

Here are some common situations (usually avoidable) that lead to a career change -
