NAINA Lal Kidwai stands tall among the big boys of the schmaltzy world of finance. She may be an epitome of elegance in her stylish sarees and pearls, but make no mistake—India's first woman graduate from Harvard Business School possesses a razor-sharp brain. Known for being extremely articulate and dear in her thinking, Kidwai's risen up the ladder in the male-dominated investment banking field, and is currently said to be the highest paid woman executive in the country.
The 47-year old became the deputy CEO of HSBC in India in June this year.
That's a lot of weight on those dainty shoulders, which is bound to become
weightier as she's tipped to be the first woman CEO of a major foreign bank
in India.
