AS THE chief executive of the Indian arm of the world's largest home appliances company, Karwal has an enormous task. The company hasn't been able to take on the might of its more established Korean competitors but he believes that by 2006 he will be able to take them on, at an equal footing.
Considered a marketing wizard, Karwal has proved his mettle in
all the companies he has been with — LG, Philips and Onida — but will he
be able to recreate the magic at Electrolux? If he does, Karwal may well
find himself much higher next year..
