Outsourcing from India benefiting America in a surprising
way!
Peter Russel
America is benefiting from outsourcing in a very strange
fashion. People employed in IT industry who are losing jobs
in America are opening up small businesses performing
systems analysis for software contracts. These small
companies are taking orders from American firms, quickly
designing the software and then getting it coded from India
for one-tenth the price. They bring the system back over the
Internet and test the same in America and service the
American company.
The availability of jobs requiring low and mid-level skills
in the US may be slowing down, but the opportunities to make
money are not. After so much hue and cry over outsourcing
for the past few months, this same is benefiting America.
Outsourcing is not only limited to big companies like GE but
has opened the door for smaller companies and virtually
anyone can outsource their job via Internet these days.
For instance, a person from Florida who lost his job due to
outsourcing started a business in web programming and
internet marketing and outsourced the whole of his job to
Delhi, where he gets everything done in almost $100 per
month for the worth of $5,000 per month. He earns twice what
his job used to pay him.
This type of success story is repeating again and again.
According to experts the problem lies in communicating with
the software shop in India. But once that is taken care of,
everything else falls in place.
The key is in transforming a software engineer into a
Business Systems Analyst. While coding jobs have all
disappeared to India, the Business Analyst’s job are in
plenty and as matter of fact there are acute shortage of
good systems as well as business analysts.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, unemployment in
the US is down to 5.2%, and is expected to decline further.
Although the US economy is still not out of the woods, the
economic trend and the declining unemployment rate shows the
way to a better future ahead. Economists are not looking
forward to any miracle, but are confident of improving the
economy at a steady rate.
According due to experts, the US economy will benefit very
well with steady job growth and solid financial and quality
benefits from outsourcing to India. |
