Best Recipe of Non-Veg Fish Gravy

Ingredients

  • Singhara fish boneless cut into small filets
  • 750 Gms Onion (Large).
  • 1 Onion seeds. 
  • Tsp Dry red chillies.
  • 6 Whole (Kollamulaku) garlic (finely chopped).
  • 2 Tsp tomatoes (chopped) -
  • 2 Nos Coconut (desiccated) -
  • 3 Tbsp salt as reqd
  • Coriander powder tsp
  • Cumin powder tsp (Jeera)
  • Chilli powder
  • Water cup
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped) 2 tbsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp.

Method

  1. Wash and pat dry the fish.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai / frying pan and add onions and fry until soft.
  3. Add onion seeds, dry red chillies, garlic and cook for 2 or 3 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes, coconut, salt, coriander, jeera and chilli powders.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add fish pieces and water and cook for 10 minutes until the fish is tender and water evaporates.
  7. Mix in lemon juice and add coriander leaves for garnishing.
  8. Serve hot, accompanied by Jeera pulao.
