in The state of Ukraine is located in the Eastern Europe. It borders on
Poland, Russia, Belarus, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova and Romania. In the
south Ukraine is washed by the Black Sea and Azov Sea. Ukraine is the
largest European country. i Climate in general is temperate continental.
Ukraine capital city is kyiv - about 3 millions inhabitants - ancient and
modern at the same time, since early 13th century it became one of the
largest European cities. Today Kyiv is a huge modern city , important
political, administrative, cultural and scientific center of the country.
Higher education in Ukraine has always
been and still remains to be of high
quality, during 10 years of independence the country has built a well -
developed and ramified system of national education that is competitive in
the European
educational area. At the moment Ukraine runs over 1000 higher educational
institutions of all accreditation levels and forms of ownership:
universities, academies, institutes, conservatories, colleges and
specialized schools.
Ukraine today is the most interesting,
practical and economical place among the former Soviet Union republics
where one can study and work, have good time and rest., get acquainted
with thousand year old monuments. Ukrainian cuisine is one of the best in
Europe
Foreign citizens who would like to enter higher educational institution in
Ukraine get visa at the Embassy or diplomatic representatives of Ukraine
in the home countries on the grounds of the invitation from Ukrainian
State Center of the International Education of the Ministry of Education
and Science of Ukraine or higher educational institution.
Foreign as well as Ukrainian students have the opportunity to use all
available leisure, welfare and sports facilities of the institutions.
Tuition, residence and other facilities fees are fixed by corresponding
agreements. As compared with the Western countries education and residence
fees in Ukraine are not so high and quite acceptable for all strata of
